Edvard Munch, Norwegian artist (1863-1944)
”The Scream” is one of Edvard Munch’s most famous pieces, and a central cultural heritage of Norway.
Reflector: A copy of Munch’s original work: “The Scream”.
Card: A little mouse. The mouse family holds many different species, but talking about mice we often think of the smaller ones; an animal we have mixed feelings about. We like them in comics, and we buy cute mouse figurines to decorate for Christmas. We gladly watch cartoons starring famous mice, bringing forth laughter, and we enjoy folk tales and songs where forest mice and other mice play central parts. On the other hand, we fear the invasion of mice in our houses, knowing that they reproduce quickly and become a problem. Mice are small animals with a huge damage potential; they are often contagious, and they ruin our food. They are in no manner a threat by size alone, but are still able to call forth a loud SCREAM!
